I have been encountering issues while trying to register OBPM 10gR3 with OSB 10gR3.
Every time I try that I am getting the bad class version error message.
I have spoken to oracle and been told that there are 2 solutions to this problem.
1. com.bea.common.configfwk_184.108.40.206.jar is not part of bpm installation
or any of the patches. The only way to get around this copying this jar
file from OSB installation and place it in bpm domain’s classpath(This
is precisely what I did).
2. The other option is to replace the occurrences
of com.bea.common.configfwk.jar(version 220.127.116.11) which come with BPM
installation but this will mean that we have to regenerate the ears. The
first option is preferable as we are not playing with BPM specific jars.
- They agreed that all these steps were missing from their
documentation and they will raise an internal defect to get this sorted.
- Oracle is not delivering 64 bit BPM at the moment but we can always
use 64 bit jre with 32 bit BPM if need be.
On top of this I had to change the JVM on which my BPM studio is running to the same as the OSB.
You can do that by adding
-vm C:\bea\jrockit_160_05\jre\bin\javaw.exe to your BPM studio shortcut.
